Boiler fouling damage to the system
Dirt, corrosion and microbial growth in the boiler water system can cause damage to the safe operation and service life of the boiler.
(1) Reduced heat transfer effect. Most heat exchangers are made of carbon steel. The thermal conductivity of carbon steel is 16.4-52.2W (mk), but the thermal conductivity of scale and oxide is much lower than that of metal. The thermal resistance of scale and oxide is 300 times that of steel. It is 500 times that of copper. Therefore, when scale and oxide or other deposits cover the heated surface of the heat exchanger, the heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchanger is greatly reduced.
(2) Reduce the amount of circulating water. The sediment or microbial slime covers the heat exchange tube wall in the heat exchanger and even blocks the heat exchange tube, so that the cross-sectional area and flux of the circulation channel become smaller, so that the heat exchange effect is further reduced.
(4) Accelerated corrosion. The formation of sediments and microorganisms promotes the formation of concentrated electric corrosion and the generation of scale corrosion, which intensifies the multiple corrosion rates.
(5) Shortened the service life of the equipment. On the one hand, sediments and microbial slime cover the surface of the heat exchanger, preventing the effective heat exchange of the equipment, so that the metal on the heat exchange surface is in a high temperature heat load state for a long time, resulting in metal fatigue: on the other hand, corrosion occurs. This can lead to thinning of the heat transfer tube wall of equipment such as heat exchangers, especially under scale corrosion, which can lead to leakage of equipment perforations. These conditions have caused the life of the equipment to be shortened.
(6) Increased operating costs. In order to maintain sufficient heat exchange efficiency of the equipment, measures such as increasing the furnace temperature and prolonging the burning time must be taken, and at the same time, equipment damage caused by corrosion and the like is inevitable, and it is necessary to increase the cost, thereby increasing the operating cost of the equipment.
(7) Hazardous substances such as iron oxide and sulfur dioxide in water are highly toxic and can cause great harm to the human body.
